Our nation was profoundly changed on September 11, 2001. The data that researchers have collected indicates dramatic posttraumatic stress that needs our prayer. Use the following prayer activity to lead your family in prayer. Prayer is a way for your family to participate in God's work around the world.Prayer Activity
God encourages us to pray for the our needs and for the needs of others. Pray with your family through each of the following prayer opportunities.So whenever we are in need, we should come bravely before the throne of our merciful God. There we will be treated with undeserved kindness and we will find help. Hebrews 4:16
Prayer Opportunity #1: Those Who Are Hurting!
Pray for those who are hurting during this time of trouble, especially . . .
• Those who lost loved ones in the 9/11 terrorist attack.
• Those who have lost loved ones fighting the war on terrorism.
• Those who have been traumatized.
Prayer Opportunity #2: Your Family!
• keep your commitment to a strong family.
Pray for your family that you can . . .
• talk about your feelings with each other.
• care for and support one another in love.
• heal together from the hurts inflicted by a dangerous world.• this time of trouble brings them to God.Prayer Opportunity #3: Other Families!
Pray for other families that . . .
• they can experience healing in their relationships.
• the church can reach out to them.
• your family can be a witness for Jesus to them.
• they can find guidance from God.

healing.
• that your family may provide comfort to its members.

for God.

Pray that the United States will . . .
• be healed as a nation.
• confess its own faults and acts of injustice.

Pray for those who caused and continue to cause pain through terrorism that they may . . .
• seek a right relationship with God.

• find healing for their hearts because of the evil they have committed.

ask you to pray for everyone. Ask God to help and bless them all, and tell
God how thankful you are for each of them. Pray for kings and others in
power, so that we may live quiet and peaceful lives as we worship and honor
God.
