Report of the Seminarian in Residence

The seminarian-in-residence program continues to be a wonderful blessing in my life, and is very beneficial to the congregation as well. This year I continued to work closely with Pastor Peterson and also participated in more activities at Ascension. My activities included the following: teach Jr. High/High School youth group Sunday school, teach confirmation class, assist with First Communion class, participate in worship committee, assist with Worship Workshop, sing in choir, lay assist in worship, preach about once per month, join with the prayer group on Sunday mornings, facilitate Bible study for the women’s group, and help on Ascension work days. I have also continued to attend Council meetings, and meet weekly with the pastor for devotion and reflection. The scholarship money has been of great importance in my being able to concentrate on studies and not return to work as a nurse. But the greatest blessing has been the friendships and Christian love I have felt with this congregation. I have learned a lot, I have tried to serve God faithfully in all I do here, and this has been a great home for me while I am away from my home congregation. I look forward to continuing to serve God with you.

Respectfully Submitted,

Janet Constantine
