PASTORAL CARE MINISTRIES
Pastoral Care Ministries are the means by which members and others are cared for in times of need especially in crisis and emergencies.
PURPOSE
To bring care, support and comfort to those in need and to support church staff in their work .. and ministry.
ACTIVITIES
. Hospital and shut-in visitation/communion
. Counseling: marriage, pre-marital, crisis and bereavement
. Coordinate Stephen Ministry program
. Administer an annual ministry review of the pastor and other "staff" members
. Administer an annual congregational ministries performance appraisal (Mutual
Ministry Audit)
. Establish and review salaries, benefits, insurance for employees. Develop and
review personnel policies
. Facility Use (15% of building and maintenance expenses)
. Pastoral Leadership-15% of time
. Secretary Support-15% of time
Pastoral Care Ministries
To "do" these ministries in 2003 will cost $21,500 (11.2% of budget).
To conduct these ministries in 2003 we will need 16 persons to give leadership.
