Fellowship Committee Report
Committee: Diane Pickett, Marge Kretschmar, Carol Renker, Jenny Peterson, Tiffany Melcher, Karen Haschke, and congregation at large. Chair – Pam Browning
This has been a busy year for fellowship at Ascension Lutheran Church. This year the committee set three goals for our work. First that the church would hold one fellowship/social gathering each month from September through May, which would be publicized, and well attended. Second, we would make use of the time and talent surveys to include and involve more people in the planning, preparation, and hosting of the events. And finally, a planning sheet would be created for each event after it was held to assist in future fellowship committee planning. As of this month all of these items are in progress and we will continue to work towards these goals to the best of our abilities.
The following events have been planned:
September (next year) Fall rally day/ back to school event
October Chili Cook-off
November Thanksgiving Dinner
December Advent suppers and Christmas Fiesta
January Box Lunch Social
February Potato LOVE luncheon
March Lent suppers and fish fry
April Easter celebration
May Church Picnic
I am thankful to the hard working members of my committee for making these events successful and well planned. As a committee we would like to thank the congregation for their attendance, ideas, and assistance.
