Christian Education
The Christian Education program has had a productive and meaningful year. This past year we continued with many of our traditional activities and also transformed some to meet the needs and size of our program. We provide an enriching Sunday school curriculum to our youth that follows the church lesson for the day. We gather before Sunday school and children’s worship for singing and praise and many adult members join in at that time. Finally, the Children’s worship is provided the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month. This past year, we continued to travel to the nursing home to sing and entertain for the residents and will plan to carry on that outing this next year. Also this past year, we had a very successful Vacation Bible School Program. We provided a day camp with instruction from the fun and exciting Cross Trail Ministry. Kim Gibbs and Kristin Janik were the organizers of that and committed much of their time to that program. Our Christmas program was modified due to our youth population, but was just as beautiful and moving due to the wonderful guidance of Janet Constantine and Matt Domsch. We have been through some changes, but are very blessed with the motivation and eagerness to learn from the children that are here at Ascension Lutheran Church.
