Before heading off to one of the Big Box stores, stop by the Habitat Restore* at 7434 North Lamar*, just north of Airport Blvd.  Not only can you find great quality materials for your various home projects, but youre helping others in our community to help themselves and to build a new life full of hope and possibility.

"Shelter is a basic human need.” Begins the ReStore mission.  As the costs of building materials escalate, housing maintenance and improvements become increasingly unaffordable. Austin Habitat for Humanity's ReStore, a building materials recycling center, addresses this problem by providing good quality building materials at greatly reduced prices as well as supporting the housing projects of Austin Habitat for Humanity."

For store hours and other information, be sure to check out the ReStore website at http://www.re-store.com/.

bethesda

Wow!

Bethesda Resale* has really taken off!  With your wonderful donations, the store is making a good profit.  This month we’re asking our donors to please bring us some special items such as men’s golf shirts, embroidered Mexican shirts, good useable tools, vintage tools, men’s hats (no gimme caps), and sports equipment (no exercise equipment).  Remember that those wonderful volunteers use these items to raise funds for individuals with developmental disabilities served by Bethesda Lutheran Homes and Services, Inc.*  Bethesda is located at 5353 Burnet Road.
